p>The Volkswagen Atlas is a relatively recent addition to the Volkswagen family. Since it made its debut, it's been a hit with many of our customers. It can come with three rows, which is a huge benefit, and the middle row can either be a bench seat or captain's chairs. At the same time, the Atlas feels agile, is fun to drive, and well-equipped for everything your family needs.

A 2.0T engine is what powers some of the Atlas trims. It can generate up to 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The other option is a 276-horsepower V6, which comes with 266 pound-feet of torque. It can earn an estimated 17/24 (city/highway) miles per gallon, which compares with the 2.0T and its fuel economy of 20/26 miles per gallon. When properly equipped, the Atlas can be used to tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is a pretty impressive feat.

There are multiple trims to choose from, starting with the S and SE. Each can come with VW's all-wheel-drive package called 4MOTION and/or a V6 engine. Higher trims are the SE R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium, all of which can come with 4MOTION as well. Beyond these options, some of the trims can come with a technology upgrade.

Advanced technology makes the Atlas more convenient and safe to drive around Silver Spring and Arlington, VA. The standard touchscreen measures 6.5 inches, and the higher trims have a larger eight-inch touchscreen. With Volkswagen's infotainment system, drivers can make hands-free phone calls, connect with their friends and family, and get turn-by-turn directions if navigation is included. An available digital cockpit is a great feature that makes it easy to read data regarding vehicle performance. Every Atlas comes with a rearview camera system that reduces the likelihood of bumping into something while you're in reverse, and seven different systems continually work for enhanced stability.

What are you waiting for? Make the short drive from Alexandria, VA down to Ourisman Volkswagen of Waldorf today and go for a test drive. Only from the driver's seat will you understand why the Atlas has become the 3-row SUV of choice for families.
